The IVDC 2019 presents a challenge to optimize the design of a DN250 (10-inch) Double Offset Butterfly Valve. The objective of the challenge is to redesign the valve to enhance the flow performance and reduce the disc weight while adhering to the essential design constraints.
We conducted a webinar for all the participants and aspiring valve designers of IVDC 2019. In the webinar, we discussed different issues and queries our participants had faced so far. It also covered what are the precautions to be considered while performing design modifications.
